ABIA: ‘We’ve Been Denied Electricity For Five Years’ — Rep Ibe Okwara Presents Petition By Ohafia, Abiriba, Nkporo Communities Against EEDC (VIDEO)

The people of Abiriba, Ohafia and Nkporo communities in Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of Abia State, have petitioned the House of Representatives over the alleged denial of electricity, harassment and extortion by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC).

The petition was presented before the House during the plenary on Tuesday by Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, a Labour Party (LP) member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of Abia State.

Ohafia Connect, in the petition on behalf of the communities signed by Mr Emmanuel Ibekwe (Chairman) and Barr. Eme Ekpu (Legal Adviser), the group accused EEDC of denying the communities of power supply for five years.
