High Chief Barr. Emeka Nwala, Chief of Staff to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed shock over the sudden death of the Vice Chairman  of the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASSLAF), in the 6th Assembly, Mr. Iyke Adoama.

The late Adoama hails from Ikeduru L.G.A. of Imo State.

Late Adoama lost his life in a ghastly motor accident along Gwarinpa expressway in the Federal Capital Territory.

While commiserating with the family of the deceased in a statement he personally signed on Sunday evening in Abuja and made available to newsmen, Chief Nwala described the death of Adoama as a great loss to members of the association from the Southeast geopolitical region, and NASSLAF in general.

Nwala described the late Adoama as “his ardent political general who has the clout to push for the rights of Legislative Aides.”

Barr. Emeka stated that Mr. Adoama was a good man, who died in active service, protecting the interest of NASSLAF.

“Delinquent Iyke died in active capacity having made effort to help new and old Legislative Aides who had issues or delay in receiving their training allowances get paid, in the just concluded training for SLAs and LAs organised by National Assembly Commission.

“Late Adoama fought doggedly for some SLAs and LAs affected to get paid, while some are still expecting to receive their training allowance. This singular act showed that Iyke was a selfless comrade, who took the bullets on behalf of his colleagues,” Nwala said.

He called on the leadership of NASSLAF, Southeast Legislative Aides and NASSLAF members to rally round the family of late Mr. Adoama.
