Ohafia Council Boss, Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex Swears In Transition Committee Councilors, Tasks Them On Unity (Photos,Video)

The Mayor/Transition Committee Chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area, Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex MFR, OON “Ugo’Ena” Nde Abiriba, has sworn in the transition committee councilors of the 11 federal wards in the council area.

While performing the ceremony at the council secretariat on Friday, Chief Onuoha enjoined the councilors to perform their duties with utmost dedication and fairness.

The council boss noted that the task of bringing dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the people of the council area starts with the lawmakers and hence could not afford to fail.

He said: “Today marks a significant moment in our community’s journey as we welcome new council members to serve and represent the aspirations and concerns of our constituents. This responsibility is not just a privilege; it’s a solemn commitment to the well-being and progress of our society.

“With the oath-taking ceremony, we reaffirm our dedication to the principles of honesty, integrity, and service. Each council member stepping into this role acknowledges the trust bestowed upon them by the people and pledges to fulfill their duties with utmost dedication and fairness.

“As you take this oath, I urge you to hold steadfast to the values that underpin the fabric of our democracy. Uphold justice, champion equality, and strive for the betterment of our community, embracing diversity and fostering unity.

“May your decisions be guided by wisdom, your actions by compassion, and your service by unwavering dedication. Together, let us work tirelessly to create a future that embodies the hopes and dreams of those we serve.

“To our incoming councilors, may your tenure be marked by progress, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to the public good.

“Thank you for your willingness to serve, and congratulations on this auspicious occasion. Our community stands stronger because of your dedication to public service. Uphold and promote the ideals and programs of The Labour Party in your various wards and communities, exhibit exemplary leadership.

“Let us, hand in hand, build a brighter tomorrow for all.”

Among the newly sworn-in councilors from the eleven federal wards of the council area are: Awa Njoku Igwe (Isiama Ward), Ukiwe Idika (Ohafor Ward), Sunny Ukpai Awa (Ebemoha Ward), Agwu Nnachi Agwu (Okamu Ward), John Kalu Awa (Ania Ward), Ikwundu Samuel Kalu (Nkporo Ndielu Ward).

Others are Mba Sunday Ndubuisi (Ndi Agbo Ward),
Obasi Ifegwu Uka (Etiti Ward), Prince Nmaju Uduka (Ameke Ward),Inyiri John Inyiri(Agborji Ward), and Prince Kalu Nnanna Kalu (Amogudu Ward).
