Appeal Court Victory: CEO Veto Group of Companies, Chief Kingsley Kalu Okeh Congratulates Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa

Chief Executive Officer of Veto group of companies, Chief Kingsley Kalu Okeh (Osuu 1 of Okon Nta), has lauded the Appeal Court judgement affirming the victory of the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives, describing it as well deserved and a hand of God in the affairs of man.

The congratulatory message signed by him and a copy made available to journalists in Abuja, Friday, Okeh commended thelawmaker for his dexterity and rigor to defend the mandate freely given to him by the good people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.

Okeh who contested the seat for the Arochukwu /Ohafia Federal Constituency, at the 2019 general elections, commended Hon. Osonwa for his resilience and fighting spirit to have been able to defeat his oppositions.

Commending the people of Federal Constituency for standing firmly behind Osonwa whom he described as astute, eminent gentleman who is hungry for the development of his people and material resources.

The Court of Appeal had on Tuesday overturned the decision of the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal which nullified the election of Ibe Okwara Osonwa of the Labour Party (LP) as the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency of Abia State in the House of Representatives.

A three-man panel headed by Justice Habeeb Abiru nullified the victory secured at the tribunal by Daniel Chimezie Okeke of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Appeal Court, in its ruling on Tuesday, reinstated Osonwa’s mandate by affirming his victory in the February 25 National Assembly election.

The appellate court ruled that Osonwa’s election should not have been nullified by the tribunal as it complied with the Electoral Act.
