House of Reps Summons Eholor Over Money Laundering Allegation Against Nigerians By Chinese Authority

Acting on a petition by One Love Foundation, the House of Representatives has summoned its Global President, Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor to attend the hearing of the Committee on Public Petitions.

Eholor had written to the House alleging that he was harassed by the Chinese authority who accused Nigerian as money launderers.

The petition which was addressed to Hon. Mike Etaba, Chairman adhoc committee on public petitions, passed through the House Leader, Prof Julius Ihonvbere.

In a letter of invitation to Eholor signed by the Chairman of the committee, the House said: “Whereas the above named petition is now pending before this Committee and the particulars aforesaid are already within your knowledge, And whereas, the petition has been assigned to be heard by the Committee for determination. YOU ARE HEREBY required to note Sections 88 and 89 (c) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and appear in person before this Committee on Tuesday, 7th of November, 2023 at 2.00pm or so soon thereafter as the Committee shall direct.”
