Former Imo Governor Senator Rochas Okorocha has endorsed the second tenure bid of Governor Hope Uzodinma in the November 11 governorship election.

This was the outcome of the meeting between Vice President Kashim Shettima, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Umar Ganduje, Uzodinma and Okorocha.

The former Senator representing Imo West in the 9th Assembly described Uzodinma as a worthy party man who has promoted the progressive ideals of the party in his administration of Imo State affairs and other national assignments.

“As such, Governor Uzodinma deserves all the support he needs and I will work for his victory,” Okorocha added.

This endorsement is coming barely hours after Okorocha’s son in-law and former governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the 2019 Imo governorship election, Uche Nwosu, endorsed Uzodinma for re-election.

Okorocha has been having a running battle with the current administration of Uzodinma with the latest being outcome of panel of inquiry headed by Prof. Vitalis Ajumbe which indicted the former Governor of forceful takeover of land belonging to Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education(AIFCE).

Submitting its report to Governor Uzodinma, the committee recommended the recovery of the Shell camp land from Okorocha and his associates within six months for return to AIFCE. (The Nation)
