The face-off between Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma and Rochas Okorocha may be coming to an end as both men visited the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to see Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday evening.
They were accompanied to the Villa by the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.
THE WHISPERER gathered that the duo may also meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“APC National Chairman may lead Uzodimma and Okorocha, along with Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was also at the Villa, to the President’s residence,” a source who preferred not to be named told THE WHISPERER.
Although THE WHISPERER cannot immediately confirm the agenda of the meeting, Okorocha, who was Imo Governor between 2011 and 2019 and Uzodimma have been political adversaries in recent years.
The meeting may not be unconnected with the face-off between the two Imo leaders, and a means of seeking peace ahead of the November 11 gubernatorial election in Imo State.
Governor Uzodimma is seeking a second term as Governor of Imo.
