As part of his campaign promises, the House of Representatives member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has begun a new round of direct interface with his constituents living in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The interface took place at his Abuja residence where the legislator and top community leaders from the various clans of the Federal Constituency living in the FCT spoke.
Hon. Osonwa also seized the opportunity to explain various programmes, projects, bills and motions he intend to sponsor, and took questions and observations from the people.
He promised to offer quality representation and dividends of democracy in every part of the Constituency— whether in education, road infrastructure, water, health, employments, gender inclusion and youth engagement, safety nets for the poor, and economic projects designed to grow the Federal Constituency.
He reassured the people of Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency that he will prioritise the welfare of the people, including residents of the Constituency. He also urged the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency to support the administration of Governor Alex Otti to deliver on his campaign promises to the people of Abia State.
In his contribution, a retired banker, Mr Charles Nkata urged the people of Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency residing in the FCT to support Hon. Osonwa to succeed.
He said: “Our brother, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa is a first timer in the House of Representatives. We must come together and rally round him to succeed and make our constituency proud.”
Also speaking, security expert, Chief Sunny Mbila appreciated the leaders of the Federal Constituency for their continuous support for Hon. Osonwa. He appealed to the reps member to carry every clan in the Federal Constituency along.
In his remark, Chief Paul Ibe, the President of Ohafia Improvement Union, Abuja Branch, noted that the community was proud of Hon. Osonwa’s emergence. He appreciated other communities for supporting their son during the general election, urging Hon. Osonwa to reciprocate the gesture through quality representation.
He appealed to Hon. Osonwa to regularly visit and interface with the various communities during his stay in Abuja.
In a chat with our correspondent, a community leader from Arochukwu Local Government Area, Elder Kalu Udo reaffirmed the support of the Local Government Area to Hon. Osonwa, and appealed to him to distribute his projects evenly.
