2023 Elections: Ndi Ibe Union Congratulates Otti, Emetu, Osonwa, Etiokwe On Election Victory

The national leadership of Ndi Ibe Ohafia Development Union (NDU), has congratulated Abia State Governor-elect, Dr. Alex Otti and his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, on their victory in the 2023 governorship election held on March 18, 2023.

Deacon Ndukwe Idika (President) and Chief (Comr.) Stephen O. Idika (Secretary) in a congratulatory message on behalf of the union and made available to newsmen on Thursday morning in Umuahia said: “Your election marks the fulfilment of the yearnings of our people for a new and better Abia State”.

Our correspondent reports that Mr Otti was declared the winner of the governorship election in the state on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Mr Otti, the LP candidate, polled a total of 172,386 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Okey Ahiwe, who garnered a total of 88,174 votes.

Similarly, the development union also felicitated with the House of Representatives member-elect for Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, and the member-elect for Ohafia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Kalu Mba Nwoke (Etiokwe) on their victories during the 2023 general elections.

The union expressed their belief that the duo of Osonwa and Etiokwe would do their best to attract development to their constituencies.
