The House of Representatives member-elect for Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has rejoiced with Muslim faithful in Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
The Eid-el-Fitri is celebrated by Muslims worldwide upon the completion of the annual month-long fasting called Ramadan.
Osonwa, in a statement issued on Friday morning, congratulated Muslims in the country on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and urged them to utilize the lessons learnt during the period to improve their lives and their communities.
He said: “As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, I want to extend my warmest wishes to all my Muslim friends and family on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
“Eid al-Fitr is a time of joy, renewal, and togetherness. It marks the end of a month-long journey of fasting, prayer, and self-reflection, and the beginning of a new chapter of spiritual growth and renewal.
“On this joyous occasion, may Allah’s blessings fill your home with peace, love, and happiness. May you be surrounded by your loved ones, and may your hearts be filled with gratitude, hope, and compassion.
“Let us use this occasion to strengthen our bonds of brotherhood/sisterhood, to share our blessings with those in need, and to spread kindness and joy in our communities.
“From my family to yours, Eid Mubarak, and may the spirit of this holy occasion continue to guide and inspire us throughout the year.”
