Igbo youth leaders under the aegis of Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, the apex socio-political youth group in the South East geopolitical zone has appealed to the Senator representing Abia North, Sen Orji Uzor Kalu to organise a course on how to attract projects for his colleagues from South East region.
In a statement on Tuesday titled, “COSEYL To Senator Orji Kalu: Organize A Course tagged ” Project 101″ To Teach Some South East Lawmakers On How To Attract And Execute Projects” and signed by Hon. Goodluck Egwu Ibem, the President General, COSEYL expressed happiness with the result oriented representation of the Senate Chief Whip Senator Orji Uzor Kalu who according to the group has within a short period of just 3 years at the Senate attracted mouth watering projects that have brought smiles on the faces of Abia North Senatorial district and other parts of the South East.
The statement reads further, “Senator Kalu has suprised Abia North constituents who are really amazed and mesmerized about his overwhelming performance at the red chambers.
“For so many years, the people of Abia North Senatorial zone were seen and treated like orphans who have nobody to speak for them until God smiled at them by bringing on board a result-oriented senator who understands the dynamics of representation and governance.
“The good people of Abia North can now hit their heart and say I am a proud citizen and constituent of Abia North because the man the sent on errand to the Senate Chambers is not sleeping at all, but is very busy working day and night to eradicate all forms of hardship and suffering from his people.
“Abia North can now say we are blessed because of the activity of one man – Distinguish Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
“The name Orji Uzor Kalu now makes a crying child to stop crying and smile because the name brings hope and good tidings. Adults are not left out as the name gives them assurance that surely they will be empowered.
“Senator Kalu has attracted over 90 roads to his constituency and over 85 percent of the roads completed. Over 1000 youths have benefited from his Scholarship scheme to study medicine and other courses abroad with all expenses fully paid. He is really an awesome Senator with the Midas touch.
“Suprised by the magic wand of Senator Kalu within 3 years, we had to approach different banks to inquire from them if he took loan from them to execute the litany of projects, the banks told us in plain language that he did not take any loan from them to execute those projects.
“Ndigbo and Nigerians are really blessed to have such a man to speak and represent them at the red chambers.
“We the youths leaders of the South East zone who are lovers of good things when we see one, will appreciate the good works of Distinguish Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for being a blessing to his generation by giving him an “Award of Excellence” to spur him to do more.
“We therefore call on Senator Kalu to as a matter of urgent important organize a course tagged ” Project 101″ to teach some South East redundancy senators and lawmakers on how to attract good projects and execute them for the good of their people.
“It is really amazing that a man who have just spent 3 years at the Senate will perform more than people who have spent 16 years and above at the same Senate.”
