The organizers of Aso Cultural Festival have concluded plans to hold the 2022 edition of the event on Friday, 16th December, 2022 at Tobix Recreation Gardens & Park, Abuja.
A press statement signed by the Creative Director, Amb. Kingsley Tolu Agboola said the festival with the theme “uniting the city” will boost the economic activities of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He said the event is designed to showcase the cultural heritage of Abuja and its tourism value to the world.
“Because the Nigeria seat of power is unique and rich in diversity, culture and tourist sites, the event will unite the people of the Federal Capital Territory.
“Aso Cultural Festival will also celebrate the rich culture and crystallization of the creative cultural diversity of the Aso people, the predominant indigenes of Abuja.”
According to him, the annual festival will include various activities like cultural competition among schools from the local government areas in the FCT; colourful cultural parade, fashion show, musical concert, art and craft exhibition, dance, award presentation etc.
“The festival will attract over 10,000 local and international participants consisting of contingents from the six local government areas in the FCT, some participating countries, visitors, volunteers, vendors, exhibitors, photographers, set/ costumes designers, artisans, students, security personnel, traffic officers, officials of supporting agencies of government and media bouses.
“Other great event during the festival will also include entertainment show with top class musicians and comedians to add colour to the festival.
“It will be an avenue to boost the economic activities of the city as many businesses will be involved like hotels, exhibitors and all,” he said.
The Honourable Minister of the FCT, Hon. Mohammed Bello and its State counterpart, Hajia (Dr.) Ramatu Tijani Aliyu will be the special guest of honour.
The event is organized by Aso multi media, a reputable event management company in Abuja.
