BREAKING: Presbyterian Church Elects Ekpeyong Akpanika, Ekop As New Prelate, Deputy Clerk

Most Rev. Dr. Ekpenyong Akpanika, has been elected as the new Prelate of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), THE WHISPERER reports.

Akpanika replaces The Most Rev. Nzie Nsị Eke, whose six-year tenure has ended as the national leader of the church.

Akpanika, was unanimously elected as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church at its 25th General Assembly held at the Presbyterian Church Of Nigeria, Hope Waddell Parish Sanctuary Calabar Synod, Cross River State.

Most Rev. Dr. Ekpeyong Akpanika polled 451 votes to win Most Rev. Daniel Etim who got 355
votes.

Similarly, Rt. Rev. Victor Ekop, a former Moderator of the Synod of the North was elected as the Deputy Principal Clerk of the General Assembly.
