The people of Ukwa, Okwoko and Agbaja all in Nkporo Clan of Ohafia LGA have called on the Federal, State, Local Government and private individuals to come to their rescue following the ugly incident of Flood that has taken over the communities after a heavy downpour.
Speaking to our reporter, when Hon. Robinson Otuwe Kalu a son of the soil and an Aspirant of APC House of Assembly Ohafia North visited this affected communities, he lamented that this flood happened in the night and destroyed so many properties but thanked the Almighty God that no life was lost. The good spirited successful business man sympathised with the members of the communities and reminded that he has alerted his principal The Senator Representating Abia North, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu who has already contacted NEMA and as well promised to get everlasting solutions to the flood.
Hon. Otuwe, donated food stuffs, detergents, soaps and cash to all the victims of the flood and promised them of more support.
Responding on behalf of this communities, The President General of Ukwa Nkporo Development Union, Engr. James Orji James thanked their own son Hon. Otuwe for coming to the aid of these victims, promising that the communities will continue to be grateful to him for playing an all inclusive politics and pray that God will grant him his heart desire.
The visit featured Heavy Prayers by the women of the various communities, praying for the emergence of Hon. Otuwe as the incoming House of Assembly Member of Ohafia North.
