UNFLINCHING CAMPAIGN FOR IGBO MAN TO BE ELECTED THE NEXT PRESIDENT.

As the curtains of 2023 general election is being gradually drawn, political parties are putting their houses in order through indept consultations while aspirants are busying harnessing plans to ensure their success in both primaries and general election. In a Country guided by equity and fairplay, it is good to allow people from other ethnic bloc an opportunity at the centre for the sake of unity and advancement.

Denying Igboman an opportunity to be elected the next President of Nigeria is a serious cankerworm against the survival of democracy and national unity. There is no reason why Igbos should not be given an opportunity in the Presidency and it calls for glued unity of Igbo political stakeholders to stand and fight for this agenda. We must unite to conquer and gone are the days Igbo men would be used by other folks to truncate the chances of their fellow brothers. Igbos are detribalized and carries all Nigerians along even when it comes to employment of the citizens in their various industrial establishments.

Not providing a window for Ndi Igbo in the seat of power at the centre is a clear calumny on the part of Nigeria political bigwigs. The Country belongs to all of us and there is no way some ethnic blocs will dominate the entire citizens out of their inordinate desires, selfishness and power drunkness. All well meaning Nigerians should rise to champion the course of changes in the system and manner through which Nigeria is governed .

In 2019, Igbos fought for and supported Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and he succeeded in getting the presidential ticket to run under PDP. We did not leave any stone unturned in fully supporting him because he was needed then as situations demanded. Based on the position of things in the Country today, situation demands that an Igboman be given an opprtunity to be elected to govern Nigeria at the centre. Competent men of natural endowment gifted in public sector administration are of large numbers in Igbo land, so why would nt they be considered as capable hands to lead Nigeria into a new glory.

It is advisable that PDP and other political parties should zone their Presidential tickets to aspirants from Igbo ethnic group to enable them have a sense of belonging to one Nigeria . The deception days are over and Nigeria needs to move forward under the hands of competent leaders. Our people must drop sentiment, greed and gluttonous advances in order to get things in working shapes. Looking for piece meals where they are not available should be avoided . Igbos were not bought from outside to join Nigeria as a Country nor were they booties of war that would warrant these ill treatment and political marginalization being meted out to them on daily basis. Nigerians must stand for the reality in the leadership changes. Those who are bent of getting PDP ticket by all means should not be treated with kids glove otherwise it may cost us the chances of winning 2023 Presidential election.
