Following the philanthropic antecedents of Nze Nkemakonam Dickson Orji, a foremost 2023 Enugu Governorship Aspirant, another prestigious award has found its way into his kit of endless decorations as an outstanding personality in the society. A man with his people at heart who will stop at nothing to ensure improved social welfare and transparent rule of law that will usher in a happy society.
Little wonder that he was, on Friday 18th March 2022, bestowed with the prestigious ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award by the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Alumni Association. A special award among too many.
The award was conferred on him by the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Charles Simone in a colourful event that attracted the presence of creme la creme in academia, businesses, Captains of industries, entertainers, socialites and many more from other professional fields.
Dignitaries that graced the event include Prof. Jerry Gana as Chairman, Mr Peter Obi (former Governor of Anambra State) as Guest Speaker, Former Nigerian Ambassador to Mali as Guest Lecturer, Mr Obi Cubana, and a host of others.
At this Alumni Reunion and Awards Night, which is part of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Convocation Ceremony, Nze Orji reiterated his commitment to the vision of a New Dawn for Enugu State if elected governor in 2023, insisting that the only solution to the seemingly insurmountable economic downturn, perennial unemployment and administrative lacuna in the developmental stride of Enugu State is to have a paradigm shift from the known normal to embrace new and practical driven methodologies that can guarantee physical results for the good of the state.
He appreciated every goodwill message from friends, families, Associates, youths’ bodies, women groups and his teeming supporters, promising never to let them down in this effort to usher in a New Dawn in Enugu State.
