A large governorship campaign billboards bearing the name and picture of Ohafia born technocrat, Chief Kalu Idika Okwara has surfaced in Aba, Umuahia, Ohafia, Isikwuato and other parts of the state.
Kalu, a member of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, is currently a career civil servant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.
Our correspondent observed that the campaign banner which was spotted in a strategic location at Uchenna Bus Stop, Aba road, had a picture of Kalu.
Others were located at Isikwuato Junction; Abiriba by Nkporo Bus Stop; Umuahia just before State CID.
The campaign banner had the inscription, “Abia is our own, let’s build sustainable democracy.”
No party logo was inscribed on the large banner, it also had the name of a group, ‘Kalu Idika Foundation’ as the sponsor.
