Buhari in closed door meeting with south east leaders

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a closed door meeting with South East leaders in Owerri.

The meeting, which journalists were not allowed to attend, is taking place at the newly commissioned Ultra modern executive chambers at the Imo Government House, Owerri.

In attendance were the Ebonyi state Governor, David Umahi, and Abia State Deputy Governor, Ude Okechukwu.

Others in attendance include the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prof George Obiozor; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema; Minister of state Chief Uche Ogah and other party stalwarts.

Already, Buhari has commissioned the Ihiagwa – Nekede Road, Balloon technology-driven underground tunnel with surface drainage at Chukwuma Nwoha road, Naze/ Nekede/Ihiagwa Road, the Egbeada By-Pass and the newly built ultra modern executive chambers.

The President is also billed to meet with artisans, traders and youths leaders and community elders meeting during his visit to Imo State

A presidential aide, Tolu Ogunlesi, via his Facebook post, revealed that the president had gone round and currently meeting with stakeholders in the state.

“The President is now participating in a Town Hall Meeting with South-East Leaders, having gone round Owerri to commission a series of infrastructure projects by Governor Hope Uzodinma,” a presidential aide, Tolu Ogunlesi,

Recall THE WHISPERER had earlier reported that President Buhari had praised Governor Hope Uzodinma, saying he was impressed with the level of development he had seen so far in the state, promising federal support within the limit of the law.
