A human rights group, One Love Foundation has called for the immediate sack of embattled police officer, DCP Abba Kyari.
Reports emerged that Kyari had ties to disgraced fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi. On Thursday morning, unsealed court documents reveal that Hushpuppi allegedly bribed the top cop to arrest an associate in Nigeria.
Kyari has since reacted to the report stating that he has no business with Hushpuppi adding that he only responded to complaint from the fraudster that someone was threatening to kill his(hushpuppi) family in Nigeria over a deal gone wrong.
He stated that he only helped hushpuppi to get native attires which cost N300,000 and that the money was paid directly to the account of the tailor.
The group stated this in a statement signed by its global president, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor and legal representative, Samuel Ihensekhien esq and made available to THE WHISPERER.
The statement urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to oversee the investigation over the alleged fraud allegation against DCP Abba Kyari in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI).
The group said, “The weight of the allegation(s) against DCP Abba Kyari puts his repute and office in question and invites a thorough investigation into the matter in a manner free from prejudicial interference from his colleagues and associates in Nigeria Police Force.
“By this statement, steps will be taken at the appropriate law court soonest to compel the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami to file a criminal charge and extradition processes to extradite the said DCP Abba Kyari to face all graft charges in the USA,” the group’s statement concluded.
