When Hon. Uko Nkole left the Federal Capital Administration as a town planner in development control, only one thought remained indissoluble in his mind, the urge to contribute his quota towards the development of his immediate constituency, and home state of Abia. Already, his father and patriarch of the Nkole family was a detribalized community leader, who until his demise dedicated greater part of his life towards augmenting humanity, especially at his immediate constituency of Arochukwu/Ohafia in his capacity as a senior manager of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Leaving trails of quintessential performance at the FCA, it was obvious that the University of Nigeria Alumni was joining politics not as your regular politician, but a developmentalist who has come to re-write the narratives and augment humanity. His first tenure as a member of the house of representatives birthed unprecedented democratic dividends in the federal constituency, it was under his quality representation that some teeming populace got to know that a member of the green chambers has the capacity to attract roads, bridges, schools, while empowering hundreds of youths with jobs. It was his seamless effort to rebuild anything senile and turn the Ohafia/Arochukwu federal constituency to a reconstruction site and project hub that earned him the nickname; “Mr Project”.

Run up to the 2019 general elections in an area where the opposition claimed and bragged to hold sway, Hon. Uko Nkole’s reelection was smooth in firm testament to the fact that people of good conscience had united in support and solidarity with a recurring trailblazer, amid political affiliation. As that goodwill continue to sour, Hon. Uko nkole as a public servant has defiled all odds and pecuniary permutations to surpass expectations in the green chambers, and for him, there is no slowing down. As an ardent loyalist and supporter of the Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu led administration and the PDP, he remains committed towards actualizing the quest of a peaceful, economic and infrastructural viable Abia.

While the legislative brilliance of the Ozu-abam born politician continues to be the subject of commendations and appraisal from far and wide, there are glaring signal suggesting that there is a big destiny hovering over his head, but until then, the good people of Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency are sure to keep enjoying unprecedented democratic dividends.
