The immediate past Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye has apologised to Abians on behalf of Kogi West for the ugly action of Senator Smart Adeyemi calling Abia state governor a drunk.
Dino Melaye, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), however advised Nigerians not to take the Senator seriously describing him as a blood thirty Senator and a drug addict.
In a post to his verified social media handle, Dino said:
“It is shocking that a diabolical father of a known drug addict who even went to a rehabilitation center will call the decent Governor of Abia State names. I apologise unbehalf of this blood thirsty senator.”
Similarly, the Kogi Senator attracted a backlash of criticisms from Nigerians over his uncomplimentary comment on the floor of the Senate.
Muhammad Adam, a facebook user, while reacting to the Senator’s remark wrote: “Smart Adeyemi is a Senator well known for his madness and holigalism. He is a product of the Supreme Court, a known mad man, and puppet of Yahaya Bello, he is a murderer, ritualist, failure and disaster.
“He should be ashamed of Kogi state where he is from; he is a shameless man.”
Another user wrote: “Smart is a shameless man without any political future. Can Smart run for governorship in a state like Kogi being a Christian? He should be worried about his people and not governor Ikpeazi. He is a failure and a product of the Supreme Court like Hope Uzodinma.”
