Social Crusader, Philanthropist and President of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor has commiserated with the Abuda family over the unfortunate death of Prince Eloniyo Dennis Abuda.
Eholor described the death of Prince Abuda as unfortunate and heartbreaking considering his selfless and humanitarian service to the people of Edo State and beyond.
He however, berated the federal government for their failure and inability to secure the nation leaving the nation at the mercy of rampaging Fulani Herdsmen, bandits, kidnappers, armed robbers and looters.
“The death of our friend, Prince Eloniyo Dennis Abuda is indeed a sad one. My heart is broken that we’re losing such an angel. Prince was a class and a pure gold. It’s quite sad!
“Our leaders has failed us; they’ve disappointed Nigerians and the trust given to them to secure the nation. This is totally unacceptable. Nigerians must rise and speak up against these murderous fellows marauding along our highways and bushes.
“May God comforts his family and give the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
The Bini-born activist also faulted the nomination of the recently retired Service Chiefs as Ambassadors by President Muhammadu Buhari saying Buhari’s action was tantamount to rewarding incompetence at the detriment of the nation. He urged Nigerians to reject such nomination as it’s a mockery of the nation called Nigeria.
“The nomination of these ex-Service Chiefs to represent Nigeria in foreign countries is an international embarrassment that must be resisted by well meaning Nigerians.
“It’s wrong to reward a team many regarded as monumental failure and misfit to the post of Ambassadors.
“The best place for Buratai and others is a special jail room for their crime against Nigerians – including abuse of rights of citizens; Lekki massacre, Obigbo massacre and lots of others. They shouldn’t be allowed to escape from the crime against Nigerians.”
Eholor also rejected the extension of IGP Mohammed Adamu’s tenure by three months. He described the action as unconstitutional and abuse of office. He said Nigeria was not a Banana Republic where laws are not obeyed.
“Buhari is acting like we’re in a Banana Republic or maybe he thought his administration is a military junta where laws are not obeyed.
“We’re going to challenge them in court. Nigeria is not a Banana Republic and we won’t accept it.”
Eholor also reemphasized his early statement that all Nigerians irrespective of where you come from should be allowed to bear arms. He wondered why the government has refused to condemn the criminal activities of Fulani Herdsmen across the nation.
He also faulted the Presidency, Governor Nasir El-rufai, Northern Elders Forum and Northern Governors Forum for coming out opening to defend the criminal activities of Fulani Herdsmen. He reminded them that Nigeria belongs to all irrespective of tribe, region or colour.
