ABIA—The leadership of Amaokwe Item Welfare Union and the entire people of Amaokwe Item and Item Okpi community in Bende LGA of Abia State have applauded Chief Whip of the Senate and the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for the ongoing road constructions in Item Community.
The Community union, in a “thank you” message sent to The Whisperer, appreciated Senator Kalu for attracting the constructions of the Amaokwe Item Uzor Rubber road linking Igbere- Abiriba- Ohafia and Amaokwe/Amaeke/ Apuanu Item roads.
They regretted that successive National Assembly members in the state abandoned the important roads which links the locality with other neighbouring communities.
The Community further reaffirmed their unalloyed loyalty to Senator Kalu and prayed that God should continue to guide him.
