The Global President of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor has said the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola And His Transport counterpart, Chibuike Amaechi has failed to live up to expectations following the state of bad roads and non functional railways across the nation.

The Social Crusader recalled that Fashola in 2014 lampooned the Jonathan administration of levity in handling the power problems plaguing the nation but was unable to improve on it as a minister for four years.

Fashola, while the serving as the governor of Lagos state, had said that “any serious government will fix Nigeria’s power problem in six months”

Commenting on the spate of deaths arising from inhalation of generator fumes in the country, Eholor said “Never in the history of Nigeria have people died from inhaling generator fumes in the quantum that it happened under Fashola. Now, the state of federal roads is nothing but death trap.”

He blamed the surge in the number of deaths through accidents as a result of bad roads under Fashola’s ministerial supervision, stressing that Nigerians now spend billions of dollars annually on works without any tangible results.

Eholor said: “I hope Babatunde Raji Fashola, who promised that the ONLY way to get power is to vote out PDP, is reading of the almost daily deaths of Nigerians from accident as a result of bad roads? They unbundled the power ministry because he equally failed there having given Nigerians darkness in excess.”

“Google ‘Nigeria death from accident or generator fumes under Fashola and you will find out that NEVER in the history of Nigeria have people been dying from inhaling generator fumes in the quantum that it happens under Fashola as minister of power or the deaths through accident as minister of works.”

“Today, Nigeria is generating less power than it was on July 12, 2014 when Fashola made that statement. Fashola have disappointed Nigerians; Nigerians now spend $5 billion annually importing generators! Our roads are bad and not motorable increasing the hardship on Nigerians. Fashola is a monumental failure just like his friend Rotimi Amaechi in the transport ministry.”
