Chimamanda Adichie, award-winning novelist, accompanied Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the last elections, to the presidential election petition court on Tuesday. Datti Baba-Ahmed, the LP vice presidential candidate, was also present in court alongside other political associates and supporters. Adichie openly canvassed support for the LP candidate during the 2023 electioneering campaigns. The national vice chairman (North West) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Salihu Mohammed Lukman, has resigned.
