A former Managing Director of Diamond Bank, Alex Otti, has picked the gubernatorial nomination form of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for Abia State. The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Anambra governorship election, Valentine Ozigbo, has been cleared to contest the Senate seat in the 2023 elections. Kola Balogun, a senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This is contained in a statement signed by his media aide Dapo Falade on Monday evening. The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, will this week declare his intention to run for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), barring a last-minute change of plans.
