Tribunal dismisses PDP, APGA petitions, upholds Ibe Okwara’s victory in Abia

The National Election Petition Tribunal in Umuahia has dismissed two petitions filed against the declaration of Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa as winner of the February 25 Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency election for lack of merit and being incompetent. The petitioners, Okuji Oreh of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Ifeanyi Uchendu of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), had separately approached the court to challenge Mr Osonwa’s victory.
