The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi on Thursday paid a visit to a chieftain of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, Sir Chikwe Udensi at his Abuja home. Obi a leading presidential candidate held a closed-door meeting with Sir Udensi an Interpol Systems Consultant and security expert. The outcome of the meeting was however not disclosed, ABN TV reports. A chieftian of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State, Muazu Magaji, has claimed that Rivers State governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate for the 2023 elections. The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Governor Wike. Some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have returned a "mysterious"  millions of naira paid into their accounts by the leadership of the party. The party officers are the Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofeek Arapaja; National Vice Chairman (South), Chief Dan Orbih. The results of a survey conducted for Bloomberg News have shown that 72 per cent of its respondents will vote for former Anambra state governor Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) at the 2023 general elections in February. On Wednesday, the survey from San Francisco-based Premise Data Corp placed Mr Obi in the lead. “Of the 92 per cent of participants who said they’ve decided how to vote, 72 per cent named Obi as their first choice. The leadership of Labour Party on Wednesday, disclosed that it would formally unveil the names of leaders and members that would form its Presidential Campaign Council in a few days.
