The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday affirmed Dr Uche Ogah as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Abia state. Justice Binta Nyako made the declaration in his judgment on a suit filed by Ogah challenging the substitution of his name with that of Mr Ikechi Emenike by the Abia chapter of the party, ABN TV reports. A Federal High Court in Abuja has sacked Chijioke Edeoga as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party for Enugu State. Recall that Evarest Nnaji, popularly referred to as Odengene had approached the Abuja court to challenge the May primary election that produced Chijioke as the party’s candidate. Justice Evelyn Maha who dismissed the primary election ordered the party to conduct a fresh primary election within 14 days. The Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has threatened to withdraw from the presidential campaign council of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, over “undeserved hostile treatment” by the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, and his cohorts in the state. Mr Mohammed issued the threat in a protest letter dated November 3 and addressed to the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu.
