A socio- political group, Benue Rebirth 2023, has claimed that Rivers State governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, plans to install the next governor of Benue State in 2023. Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has approved the disengagement of 19 political office holders. According to the government, this is the first phase of political appointees to depart the public service during the current rightsizing exercise.
