The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has rejected the position of the Southern governors that the South should produce the President come 2023. According to the Forum, the North would not be compelled into yielding a democratically elected office. The Supreme Court will soon fix a date to hear the motion filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) demanding the sack of Imo Governor, Hope Uzodinma. The party, through its lawyer, Phillips Umeadi filed additional processes in relation to the motion filed in 2020. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has accused some members of the Rivers State House of Assembly of plotting against him. The Governor made the claims during the commissioning of three reconstructed roads in Old GRA, Port Harcourt.
