The President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded to the Senate for confirmation the appointment of one of his media aides, Lauretta Onochie, as a National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission representing Delta State. The President also nominated the appointment of Prof. Mohammed Sani Katsina), Prof. Kunle Ajayi (Ekiti), and Seidu Ahmed (Jigawa). President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan today read the letter on the floor of the Senate. Recall Lauretta Onochie is the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, a position she has held since the inception of President Muhammadu Buhari administration in 2015.

President Muhammadu Buhari has presented the proposed 2021 Budget of N13 trillion to the National Assembly. The President was only accompanied by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and a few ministers, while the others participated virtually, unlike previous year’s budget presentations.
