The police in Akwa Ibom on Thursday dismissed the rumour that Mr. Uduak Ezekiel Akpan, the suspected killer of Miss Iniobong Umoren committed suicide in its police custody. Social media has been awash with news that 20-year Akpan, who allegedly lured Miss Umoren with a job offer and subsequently raped and killed her, has killed himself. The Nigerian Army has challenged Sahara reporters to mention the location where Boko Haram terrorists distributed Ramadan packages and cash in Borno and Yobe as reported by the medium. Frank Akpan, the Uyo based young man who is alleged to have carried out the gruesome murder of the innocent job seeker, Hiny Umoren, was this morning found dead in his cell. According to Newsline naija, He had hung himself using his trousers by tying it to the metal frame of his cell door. Akpan was last seen alive by 19.30 yesterday when he was served his evening meal of bread and edikaikong soup. Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo on Wednesday dissolved the state’s executive council, and sacked 20 of the 28 commissioners in the cabinet. The governor however, retained other commissioners.
