It was indeed a black Saturday after a  brakeless truck lost control and ran into a market in Imo on Saturday afternoon, killing at least 20 women. The accident happened at Nkwommiri Market, near Nwangele River in Umuozu community of Imo. Imo governor Hope Uzodimma has attributed the spate of attacks in the state to the handiwork of those he described as disgruntled politicians who are afraid of his achievements in the state. 323 persons were killed and 949 others kidnapped by bandits in the last three months across the state according a quarterly report by the state government. Suspected herdsmen has killed atleast five persons in a fresh attack on Friday morning in Gwer West local government area of Benue state.
