Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force on Saturday morning dispatched a group of June 12 protesters in Gudu area, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, firing teargas canisters in the process. Sources say the protest started around 08:30 am and had been going smoothly with the protesters, mostly youths, expressing their dissatisfaction at the state of the nation. No fewer than 67 persons have been killed following attacks by suspected bandits on some villages in Zurmu Local Government Area of Zamfara State. SaharaReporters gathered that the attacks left hundreds of others, including women and children with various degrees of injuries.
