The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has debunk the rumours making rounds that Simon Ekpa has been appointed as interim leader of the group,following Nnamdi Kanu’s incarceration . According to a statement by the media and publicity secretary of IPOB,Emma Powerful, it clarified that Ekpa was only made to join the broadcasting crew of Radio Biafra. Chidinma Ojukwu, the suspect arrested in connection with the death of Michael Ataga, CEO of Super TV, has denied killing him. Ataga was found dead days after checking into an apartment with the suspect in Lekki, Lagos. The suspect had fled the scene of the crime until she was arrested at her father’s house in Yaba, Lagos. When she was paraded by the police in June, the 300 level student of the University of Lagos had said she killed him while he was trying to force himself on her. The immediate-past deputy governor of Kaduna State, Bala Bantex, has died aged 64. Sources at the Kaduna Government House confirmed the death to Daily Nigerian. The International Organisation for Migration, IOM, has said that 17,053 babies were given birth to by Internally Displaced Persons in 18 locations in Borno state alone. The UN agency told the News Agency of Nigeria that the figure represents information of babies who have been registered between 2019 to May 2021. Frantz Celestin, the IOM Chief of Mission, IOM, said that the agency collaborates with the National Population Commission and UNICEF to issue birth certificates to the children. The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has warned Southern governors over their resolutions on 2023 presidency and their ban of open grazing. National Secretary of the body, Saleh Alhassan, warned that Southern governors may not get the presidency if they opt to blackmail the North. Reach FM is owned by the former governor of the state and Senator representing Imo West District, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
