The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, on Friday ordered the Rivers Government, the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, and the Attorney-General of the Federation to maintain status quo, pending the hearing and determination of applications before it in respect of the Valued Added Tax, VAT. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed into law the State VAT Bill as passed by the House of Assembly. This was confirmed by Gbenga Omotoso HC, information & Strategy in a statement The Governor signed the “bill for a law to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services” at about 11. 45am today , after returning from an official trip to Abuja .
