Imo lawmakers have reinstated Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly. Iwuanyanwu was impeached by 18 out of the 27 lawmakers last Tuesday. The former Speaker Paul Emeziem, who presided over the plenary, okayed the impeachment of Iwuanyanwu without reading the content of the resolution. The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Charles Soludo, won in his polling unit in Saturday’s governorship election in Anambra State. He polled 126 votes, with his closest rival, Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party, polling only five votes.
