Senator Olorunnibe Mamora, Minister of State for Health, has married off his twin daughters abroad. The ceremony, which held on the same day, took place at Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago, US. Although the president could not attend, he sent his wishes to the couple and their family. The twins – Dara and Dahun – got engaged to their husbands – Bayo and Lanre on the same day in January. Accountant-General’s office budgets N36m to battle antelopes, snakes Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, Tuesday, said that his office proposed N36 million in the 2022 budget to combat antelopes, snakes and other reptiles that trouble them. He also said that his office would incur extra charges in the payment of personnel attached to Nigeria’s foreign missions and embassies which will affect the proposed N410 to $1 dollar exchange rate by the federal government to in the budget to N425 to a dollar. The Inspector General of Police (IG) Alkali Usman has said operatives who raided the residence of Supreme Court judge, Justice Mary Odili have been arrested. He disclosed this during an interview at a two-day capacity building workshop for security operatives in Lagos and Ogun organised by the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Zone Two, held at Victoria Island, Lagos. The Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Amara Iwuanyanwu, has been removed. He was removed under tight security during the plenary on Tuesday. Ekene Nnodim, who represents Orlu state constituency, submitted a resolution signed by 18 out of the 27 lawmakers for the removal of Iwuanyanwu as the Deputy Speaker. The Speaker, Paul Emezim, who presided over the plenary, okayed the removal of Iwuanyanwu. Meanwhile, the House of Assembly also recalled six suspended lawmakers of the state legislature. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has said the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration cannot even be compared to military governments.
