Gov Obaseki To Present Lawani, Ebhotemhen, 16 Others To Edo Assembly For Confirmation As Commissioners

The much expected list of Commissioners will be sent to the Edo State House of Assembly this week by Governor Godwin Obaseki according to a high ranking government official. According to ChrisOsa, The list has Barrister Leslie Ebhotemhen, an Abuja based lawyer. Another nominee is Barrister Damian Lawani, former Commissioner for Youth, and former member of the Edo State House of Assembly. The full list is expected to be read at the floor of the House on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021.

BREAKING: 240 Inmates Escape As Gunmen Attack Kogi Prison

At least 240 inmates have escaped the Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC) in Kabba, Kogi State, following an attack by yet to be identified gunmen. The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) spokesman, Mr Francis Enobore confirmed the incident in a communique on Monday, stating that the attack took place at about midnight on Sunday.
