A Federal High Court in Abuja has refused to grant bail to Abba Kyari, suspended deputy commissioner of police (DCP). Kyari was on March 7, arraigned alongside Sunday J Ubia, Bawa James, Simon Agirigba and John Nuhu who are members of the police Intelligence Response Team (IRT). Others are Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne — two alleged drug traffickers who were arrested at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. In the charge marked FHC/ABJ/57/2022, the agency accused the defendants of conspiracy, obstruction and dealing in cocaine worth 17.55 kilograms. Popular gospel artist, Chinedu Nwadike is dead. He had been suffering chronic kidney problems for some weeks, according to reports. A popular Nigerian gospel artist, Chinedu Nwadike, has died after a long battle with cancer. However, he was said to have totally healed and was planning to travel to India this week for treatment of blood cancer but died today. Chinedu is survived by Dorah Chinedu Nwadike, his wife, and three children. He was a Gozie Okeke dancer who appeared in practically every gospel music performance. A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned ruling in a suit the Peoples Democratic Party filed against Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River. The PDP, through its counsel Emmanuel Ukala, SAN, had filed the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/975/2021 before Justice Taiwo Taiwo to seek an order sacking the governor and his deputy over their defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), among others.
