The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) is set to start prosecuting landlords that rent out apartments to internet fraudsters commonly known as Yahoo Boys. Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court on Tuesday rejected the bail application of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. The judge said Kanu had failed to inform the court why he could not attend his trials in the last four years. A Rivers State High Court has granted bail to House of Representatives member representing Degema-Bonny Federal Constituency Farah Dagogo. Dagogo was arrested on April 28, 2022 in Port Harcourt on the day he appeared for screening as a PDP governorship aspirant. The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Tuesday, dismissed a fresh application the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, filed to be released on bail, pending the determination of the treasonable felony charge the Federal Government preferred against him. Over 10 million new voters have registered in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise across the country. This is according to the update for Week 11 in the Fourth Quarter released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday. A breakdown of the figure showed that while fresh registrants hit 10,487,972, completed registration was pegged at 8,631,696.
