Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has cautioned a former Presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba over his opinion that the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, be renamed after the late Queen Elizabeth II. The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, on Friday, visited the Rivers State governor, Wike Nyesom, in Port Harcourt. According to Daily Trust, Sultan Abubakar met Wike at his Ada George residence shortly after arriving the Porthacourt International Airport. The two leaders held a closed door meeting. The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has released a list of 13 Nigerians found dead in Northern Cyprus within the past six years. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairperson of the commission, in a statement on Thursday, however, said the commission’s recent warning was not to scare Nigerians interested in travelling to Northern Cyprus. The federal government had, in 2020, warned parents against sending their children to universities in Northern Cyprus owing to “incessant and mysterious killings of Nigerian students”.
