The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has said about 18 state governors across party lines are currently working behind the scene for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi. Terrorists on Wednesday freed 23 remaining captives of the Kaduna train attack. This was disclosed by the Secretary of the Chief of Defence Staff Action Committee, Usman Yusuf. Yusuf said that the hostages were released at about 4pm on Wednesday. He said that the committee took the custody of the victims who were kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists during an attack on a moving passenger train in Kaduna on March 28, 2022. A final year student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Oluomachi Nwoko, has been delivered of quintuplets at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia. Nwoko, who is 24 years old, gave birth to three girls and two boys on Tuesday. Speaking to ABN TV, a nurse on duty said “The female babies came first and she is the first to give birth to quintuplets in the facility in a long time.” Both mother and children are in good health condition.

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has switched on the streetlights on the Second Niger Bridge to test the illumination. According to Babatunde Fashola, minister of works and housing, the bridge, which is in its final stage of construction, will be inaugurated in December 2022 and opened to vehicular movement. Ugochukwu Nsofor Chukwukadibia, a man described as a billionaire drug baron, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in Victoria Garden City, Lekki, Lagos.
