The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has discharged the embattled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. Kanu is being prosecuted by the Federal Government at the Federal High Court in Abuja for 15 count charges bordering, including treasonable felony and terrorism, offences he allegedly committed in the course of his separatist campaigns. The Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday said it detected 2.7 million cases of double registration carried out during the last Continuous Voter Registration and that the affected persons have been deleted from the voter register. Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has appointed 14,000 advisers for various political units in the State. The Governor, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, said the advisers would play a pivotal role in the administration. Operatives of the security outfit of former militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, have intercepted an illegal vessel loaded with crude oil in Delta State. According to a report by Gbaramatu Voice News on Sunday, the crude oil tanker, was loaded with an unspecified quantity of crude oil at the Escravos River in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, when it was intercepted on Thursday.
