Labour Party governorship aspirants in Edo State have resolved to support the party’s candidate in the September 21 governorship election, Olumide Akpata, following the intervention of Gov. Alex Otti of Abia State, and the National Working Committee (NWC), of the party. The lawmaker representing Abia North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has urged the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to shelve its proposed nationwide protests over lingering hardship in the country.
