Bashir, son of Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna, has criticised Uba Sani, his father’s successor, for his remarks on the “huge debt profile” he inherited. Speaking during a town hall meeting in Kaduna on Saturday, the governor said he inherited a debt burden of $587 million, N85 billion and 115 contractual liabilities from the el-Rufai administration.
