Fire on Thursday night gutted the Cairo Market in the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State, THE WHISPERER has learnt. Unknown gunmen have attacked Obosi Police Station in Idemili North local government area of the state and killed two officers. This is coming barely 24 hours after the newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Anambra, Christopher Adetokumbo Owolabi, resumed duty in the state. The gunmen attacked the police station late Wednesday, freeing all detainees before setting the station on fire. Sporadic gunshots were reported early Tuesday and a home burnt in Umuneke-Nta in Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo state after security operatives stormed the community. Their entry is believed to be in search of a leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, identified as 50-year-old Theddus Ekechukwu, aka Moputu according to Daily Trust. Ekechukwu, whose wife is said to be a police officer, was seen around the community till the evening before the incident.
