INEC office located at Obollo-Affor gutted by fire. The office of the Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) located at Obollo-Afor in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State was Thursday night gutted by fire. It was however prevented from spreading to the entire building by the combined efforts of the state fire service, the police and the people around the area. The incident caused serious tension amongst the herdsmen as they quickly moved their belongings and ran away from the community for fear of being struck dead by the same thunder. The national grid has suffered another system collapse, worsening the blackout being experienced in parts of the country. Imo state police command has apologised to media practitioners in Imo state over the recent clampdown on newspapers vendors and distributors in the state.
