Tension As Unknown Gunmen Kill Seven Herdsmen, Over 40 Cows In Plateau

Gunmen have killed seven herders in Chol Village of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. The spokesman for the State Police Command, ASP Ubah Gabriel, who confirmed the attack, said the incident occurred on Thursday evening. Gabriel explained that more than 40 cattle were also killed in the attack. Some of the aides of Yoruba activist Chief Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho) have regained their freedom from the gunmen who abducted them at his residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, in the early hours of Thursday. The United States Consulate General has said it inaugurated two new centres in Enugu and Benin City, the Edo State capital. The effort, it noted, was aimed at engaging more Nigerian audience.
